What is MACnet?
MACnet is a group of free community paper publishers who have banded together from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C. in order to serve you with an attractive coverage area at a reasonable price.
How does the network work?
- When you are ready to advertise your business or service in the network, call us at our toll free number, 1-800-450-7227 or complete our online order form.
- Need help writing your advertisement, feel free to use your copywriting services. We will also assist you in creating a test market for your advertisement before placing it in the network.
- When all the details are completed, your ad will then be sent to all participating publications for their next available issue.
Our deadline is Tuesday at 12 noon for the following week’s insertion. Publishers have a two week timeframe in which to place your ad.

Important Information you need to know... All ads must meet the advertising policies as follows:
- Publishers retain the right to omit any ad submitted which does not meet their standards for advertising.
- Publishers will not be asked to run “blind ads.”
- All ads regardless of product or service are screened prior to running. To expedite the procress, Better Business Bureau reports should be submitted with ad insertion (whenever possible).
Advertising Policies and Restrictions
- All ads submitted to MACnet must be accompanied by business name, street & city address & phone and fax number of person submitting the ad and the advertiser (unless both are one and the same).
- Ads that require or encourage sending money through the mail require a physical address and phone number in the ad.
- Ads concerning “Work At Home” schemes such as stuffing envelopes, home assembling, etc., will not be accepted.
- All employment ads should clearly state the position they have to offer & whether the salary (if stated) is weekly, monthly, etc. Information for the position must be available at no charge.
- Adoption advertising must be accompanied by a letter from an attorney attesting to the legality of the proposed adoption.
- Credit card, personal loan, mortgage ads will be accepted only from established, bona fide lending institutions, or licensed mortgage brokers which are within the regulations of the Federal Trade Commissions.
- 900# and 809# will not be accepted.
- Mail order ads and ads offering literature must submit an information packet, catalogue, etc. whatever information readers answering the ad will receive.
- Ads for grants, cars for $100, foreclosed homes, postal jobs will not be accepted.
- Ads for discount divorces and DNA testing will not be accepted.
MACnet reserves the right to refuse any advertisement at any time based on reader complaints, unethical business practices, or any other reason deamed necessary.
